I love the European Ambiance of the outdoor cafe's, isn't this one wonderful with all the flowers, it captured my eye and imagination, so  fun to paint. Ran across this little place in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. My goal was to capture the light on a sunny day.

VENICIAN HOLIDAY, it is that time to start thinking about this years holiday.  Of course I get to visit
new places daily in my imagination as I dream up new paintings, from some wonderful places I have visited.
Speaking of vacations of course it makes me think of springtime. I have some new work coming around the corner with warm ocean breezes and flowers hanging everywhere. A couple of stunning evening sunsets.  I think you may really like them.

We get enough cold don't we? I am ready for spring and the planting season.  When this hits me, I bring it on early by painting it! Enjoy The Greek Isles.

Something New

Courtyards

Well it has been so long since I updated my blog, carried away with the usual. Here we go, I will post some new and belated works. Here are some courtyards, I really enjoyed.

I wanted to work on some abstract paintings, I have decided it is not my forte this painting is as abstract, really more impressionistic, as I want to paint. Hope you like it, an old town in the hills of Tuscany perhaps.
Bold use of brush and color in unexpected places.

This painting started as a early evening but I think it turned out to be early morning. Sunrise in Santorini. I love to visit Greece with oil paint, really a limited palette with variations of blues and white. I will always be returning to Santorini, Greece for more studies in oil.

On these hot summer days, I was in the mood to paint water and blooming flowers, I constantly try to adjust the look of blooming flowers/trees. And who doesn't love sail boats?  Nice place to relax, huh?  I love the compliment of blue paint with vivid  hues of the flowers.
