Time passed

It has been some time since I have posted,  Life has changed for me.......
While caring for my dearest Friend, my momma....I had to leave painting for a while, I started making gemstone jewelry as it was easier to leave the creative zone as often as I needed too.

My dear momma has now passed on to "home" as she called it. I am back working with a hole that can't be filled right now, I think she took a piece of me with her. She has left me wonderful memories, laugh's and wise advice, thank you Momma!
Till we meet again........
Here are the creative endeavor's
I have been working on since we last talked.

Lakhovsky coil

I listened to the most interesting video yesterday from Project Camelot.
Kerry was interviewing Maria Wheatley speaking about the Lakhovsky coil.
Not to much to be found on the net but I did find out you can make one with a #10 copper wire. This is normal house electrical wiring that is insulated.
I will not go into the explanations here, you can look it up if your interested.

Today was a painting day, a bit unusual for me, my son's are opening up a gaming store and asked me to paint a dragon on the floor, it was a bit painful.....bending over all day.

So I just stopped and picked up the #10 just large enough to fit around my waist plus 2 inches overlap.  Got out to check my mail and knew it was going to be a hard night, left side, hip and knee were screaming at me.
I though what the heck and put the Lakhovsky coil on.
What a wonderful surprise, a couple moments later I felt the pain just melting away! I laughed, I cried! Unbelievable!

I am currently busy with so many commissions, I love it. This is Old Havana Night for a Preparatory School in Texas.
This is my concept, time to add some color,
My usual blocking in or layering color and then I move onto the oils
This time when I moved to the oils... I could not do my usual stone flooring because my female dancer was not showing up like I wanted her to....
I changed the stones, you can still see some of the senna showing through. This really softened up the painting, a dreamy night!
Click on any picture to see it larger.
Hope you enjoyed following along.
Next I am off the Santorini for a commission :)
Maybe...... then I can get back to more boats for the boating fans!

Re-connection after time off. Well not really time off .....just less painting. I made a major move studio and all last year, then just a couple of months ago I moved my mother in to care for her.
It has been a lot of work getting her house ready to sell, my sons and grandsons pitched in to help keep things manageable for me.
I did complete a commission, for a lovely lady in Canada, here they are:

I am currently working on 2 more commissions: one countryside with a barn and the other I can not introduce yet it is for a school in Houston, they will get the opportunity to introduce it first ;) Please visit my new website here: rebeccabeal

What does the inside of your mental home look like now? Is it gracious, full of light, comfortable, and spacious, or is it a “carpenter’s dream,” begging to be renovated?

Find Me Here

I wanted to publish the completion of this work that was for my house.
I will have some prints available.
I am heading quickly towards 60 years old, the body tells me so.
The mind....well the mind is as young as it ever was. A little wiser maybe. I remember thinking how old is 50!  When your in your 20's & 30's you never thought you'd get there, just stay young.
I suppose its the "experience" of this place, this planet we call Earth,. Home.,.
Did we ever think.....what's up here, we have to pay to live on a planet were born on, then continue to work for a system that rarely gives back. Work hard all your life to enjoy a few years of freedom before you die. I have to ask WHY DID WE COME HERE?
Suppose we had some things we wanted to learn.  Some gifts we wanted to share.  Some experiences we wanted to add to our repertoire.
