The Journey is my passion. Creating is like breathing, some of us have to do it. Paintings influenced by my love of coastal European ambiance. Bringing my heart to rest where I can hear its song.

One of the great joys of traveling through Italy is discovering firsthand that it is, indeed, a dream destination, that keeps returning for the rest of your life.
Portofino is a lovely little harbor fishing village about 45 minutes' drive away from Genoa on Italy's North West coast.Years of practice create Layer upon layer of transparent oils, so you can see multiple colors that give a deep richness to this Original Oil Painting.

Captivating Venice an Original Oil painting by Rebecca Beal Gallery wrapped Canvas ready to hang
She sat upon the gondolas warm seat and looked as far down the darkening canal as the setting sun would allow. She wondered if others appreciated Venice’s beauty and fragility as deeply as she had come to or if, like a raging fever, the city infected some while avoiding others. She sighed at the grandeur and at the resilience that surrounded her, and she promised herself she’d try to be more like Venice.Years of practice create Layer upon layer of transparent oils, so you can see multiple colors that give a deep richness to this Original Oil Painting.

Weddings will be coming up for April, May, June, and July, I started a series of Couples, here is the 1st one. You can see the initial quick drawing, then I decided to add a beach and finally the completed work. I had to take this photo in the dark and make a few adjustments because of the shiny wet paint. I will take/post a better photo once dry in natural light. You can see how it was adjusted as I went along. Just Click Pic to Enlarge

The next work I return to Venice.
My fascination with Venice is unending. Again I wanted to experience the
old buildings with so much character, warped wood, peeling facade, old bricks, and majestic doors and windows. It is very interesting to see how Venice was built, I have included some links for those interested.
