Quaint Tuscan Street 16x20

I loved doing this painting, well I love them all, but some just flow so easily, like I know the place well, lived there in a pasted life or something, LOL.

The Beautiful Hills of Italy

It feels like forever since my last post. I had to send my computer off for repairs while my laptop was gone too! I kept painting but no listing or posting. I am so happy to be back. You know you can click these pic's and it will show you a larger view!

Twlight in Venice 20 x 24x 1 1/2

Then completed painting, I am very happy with the results using Transparent oils.
I have started to add the transparent oils, as you can see the canvas is very shiny. It is starting to create a luminosity I really like. As you can see I always darken my colors before I finish with the final oils.
I am still working with the acrylic under painting.

Twlight in Venice

I wanted to do a painting with transparent oils, in a very painterly style. Lots of jewel colors reminding me of a stained glass window. Here is the beginning sketch with some acrylics.

I wanted to show you this amazing picture. Taken by my home. When I first started getting these, I thought it was dust and cleaned my lens. Another time I thought it was rain, but as you can see it is neither. I have since found out they are called Orbs. Very interesting isn't it?

Welcome again! I have moved on with my oil paint. Working with the building more sienna was added, along with the back wall. The pots and flowers are coming alive, with sun kissed wisteria hanging overhead, more work to do there, but it is starting to create the atmosphere I love, a peaceful serene place to rest and rejuvenate. Thank you for joining me! See you next time with the completed painting.
